Hólavallagarður is situated in central Reykjavík. It is the largest 19th-century cemetery in Iceland, with its oldest grave dating back to 1838. Many of the tombstones and sculptures are very artful, and some have a historical and cultural significance.
No one is completely sure why the plane crashed but there are several theories. Some blame it on icing damaging the plane's structure; others say that the thrusters were not working correctly. Based on what I have read and heard, the fuel mishap seems to be the most common theory.

With its enormous basalt stacks, roaring Atlantic waves and stunning panoramas, Reynisfjara is widely considered to be the most beautiful example of Iceland's black sand beaches. In 1991, National Geographic voted Reynisfjara as one of the Top 10 non-tropical beaches to visit on the planet.
Hjörleifur Hróðmarsson, the blood brother of Ingólfur Arnarson who was Iceland's first Viking settler in around 874 AD. Hjörleifur was the second settler of Iceland, but sadly enough he was killed the year after in 875 AD. Hjörleifshöfði is a 221 m-high (725 Ft high) inselberg in southern Iceland.
The Eldhraun lava field is one of the biggest in the world. It occurred during the Laki eruption in the late 1700s. The enormous site which is 565 square kilometers (218 sq mi) is where the Apollo 11 crew came to train for their impending moonwalk.

Vestrahorn, on the Stokksnes peninsula in Iceland, has dramatic peaks reaching up to 454 meters (1490 ft) The water in this area is only about half an inch to an inch deep with packed sand underneath making it easy to simply walk around on it.
Although the natural wonder Stuðlagil and the basalt columns have always been here, much of this fascinating landscape was underwater until only a few years ago. It is almost hard to believe when standing here that this was a terrifying place under the forceful pressure of a dominating and angry river.
Hverir is a unique wasteland in which pools of boiling mud, hot springs and hissing steam stacks give life to a desolate Mars-like land. Iceland is truly an amazing and unique place. Rauðfeldsgjá is a deep, high and narrow ravine in the cliffs south of the glacier Snæfellsjökull. The gorge extends inside the Rauðfeldsgjá fissure for a ways until it narrows near to where the stream is issuing from. A truly unique sense of the sprawl and majesty of Iceland's natural terrain.
