Florence died of yellow fever when she was 10 years old. Upon her death her mother was so struck with grief that she had Florence's casket constructed with a glass window at the child's head.

Jackson International Speedway in Clinton, Mississippi has some amazing history in the car racing world. Sad to see it in this condition however I'm also glad it wasn't bulldozed for a new shopping center. This abandoned racetrack sits in the woods completely out of sight and forgotten.
